Sunday... it is going to be a beautiful day, other than for trying to keep carbs under limit. There is roasted chicken on the menu for dinner, but my granddaughter wants mashed potatoes with it. Ugh, another weakness. I'll have to make sure to only make a very small pot with enough for us each to have a single serving. I did avoid chips yesterday. Thank goodness that temptation will be gone when my granddaughter returns home next weekend. But, she is wanting me to make a pan of brownies. So yummy, but so off limits. I could eat the entire pan by myself. Lol, I'm going to need to find lots of kids to hand them out to, and quickly! Then dinner happened. We had cheeseburgers and homemade fries. It's amazing how many carbs are in a hamburger bun and a potato. Ok, so I blew it. But, the rest of the day was good. Eitherway, I don't think this morning will be a good day to weigh in. Tomorrow. My granddaughter and I found a great find yesterday morning, an old stationary ...
Yesterday started off great in regards to monitoring what I chose to eat, and getting it  logged into MyFitnessPal. Then dinner time came around and homemade spaghetti was on the table. I blew it. Plus, I cleaned the house, including mopping the kitchen and bathroom floors. My scale this morning is showing 6 pounds less than the morning I weighed at the doctor's office the first of the week. Yay! I'll take that. I feel sure some of that is the difference in scales, plus I'v...

Well, here I am just two years shy of 60. I find myself with way more weight on my body than I should have. After several conversations with my PCP, we decided I should limit carbs and sugars. Hmm... my two favorite things, bread and baked goods, and sweets. This is going to be tough. If I'd actually cook each day this challenge would be easier, but living by myself it is so easy to fix a quick sandwich. Ah, those lovely taste carbs. And, peanut butter! I did try my best today to be good, especially being day 1. We're mostly all good on day 1. Out of an allotted 1200 calories I had just under 300 left when all was said and done and I felt completely satisfied. Whoo hoo! My carbs and sugars were in check for that amount of calories, but my cholesterol intake was over. No, I didn't do away with all carbs, and sugar seems to be in everything. That was just too hard. I hope to do better with that as time goes on. Maybe I'll go sit outside and enjoy an icy cold But Lig...
